  11. What is a synchronous connection? My modem supports it. Do I need a
  12. special serial port or anything? My understanding is that 8 bits sent
  13. is 1 actual byte, since there are no start bits and stop bits, which
  14. get wasted. In my manual, there are about 5 different things listed
  15. regarding sychronous connections (&Q0-5). Which one do I use? A BBS
  16. near me has USR V. Everything modems, could I make synchronous
  17. connections with them? Thanks a lot!!
